Unmasking Food industries Secrets

Join me to know the inner secrets of industries and how they play with our health!

The Impact of Our Food Choices on Health

Well, admit it: we are getting sick because of the foods we eat. Our diets have shifted from natural to highly processed foods.

Try this: list everything you ate today, and if it doesn’t contain any processed food, I’ll write a blog about minions.

The food industry has designed a system that takes away our common sense—the ability to know what’s best for us. Let’s be honest, IT IS WORKING! The main goal of food industries is to make food cheap and addictive. I had a conversation with my dad minutes ago, and this is what he said:

"People can no longer be full after they eat because they don’t consume nutrient-rich foods. Instead, they prefer processed foods that are addictive and make them crave more."

This means that if people chose to eat nutrient-rich foods instead of processed options, life would be much easier.

The Strategy of Food Industries

And do you know what the food industries do?

They invest money into nutrition studies. Just imagine how many studies have been conducted on NUTRITION. Everyone has their own perspective on different foods, and guess what? That’s their whole point—they want us confused!

Given all this information about nutrition, are you confident that you know what you should be doing to live a better life and improve your health?

The Lies

From the Annals of Internal Medicine, one of the premier medical journals, there was a title written as "Scientific Basis: A Guideline Recommendations on Sugar Intake, a Systematic Review," which discusses a review of the science of sugar.

The conclusion was that there is no evidence that sugar is harmful, and we should not promote this through policies. Consumers should not change their behaviors because any public perception that sugar is harmful is unfounded according to the data.

This study was funded by the International Life Science Institute, which, guess what? is funded by Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Pepsi, and other food industries. See how confusing this is?

Insane Contradictions

Look at how insane this sounds: A company giving out cheap “water diabetes” funding organizations that help people avoid diabetes—fishy, right?

Now, let’s build a short scenario. You receive millions of dollars from me (which I don’t have, but will). Would you ever say anything bad about me in your research? Would you even dare? Remember, the money that companies provide is their paycheck, and they use it to support their families.

Food companies and Big Pharmacies aren’t paying millions out of goodwill—HELL NO! They always want something in return.

There was a follow-up paper in public health nutrition where 133 studies were done. It was found that 82% of the independent papers said sugar was harmful, while 93% of the industry-funded papers found no harm in sugar.

Now you better think twice before you trust any food industry. Make good choices and conduct thorough research.

The Bigger Picture

But wait! The beauty of these systems is that most people, including doctors and food industry executives, are generally good people. However, the end results can be evil, as people are getting fatter, sicker, and more depressed due to the foods they consume.

While I was reading The China Study by Thomas Campbell II and T. Colin Campbell, this information stood out:

Think this is enough to expose them? Well, no. I want you to know more...

Did you know that the worse our diet is, the richer the healthcare systems become? Some people within those systems have incentives that encourage more people to be sick for longer periods, meaning more money for them.

A good example is the introduction of Ozempic, a drug for type 2 diabetes. What amazes me is that its dosage is intended for a lifetime—see how they get rich?

The Misconceptions of Hydroponic and Organic Farming

These two terms, hydroponics and organic, can be new to many people, so let me break it down for you:

Organic, according to the Oxford Dictionary, is defined as “relating to or derived from living matter” or “involving production without the use of chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial chemicals.”

Many people are misled about the real meaning of organic. For example, when you go to a supermarket and ask for certified organic eggs, you might think those eggs come from a pasture where chickens can move and roam freely. However, most of these eggs come from large confinement operations where chickens might live for a week without seeing sunlight or moving outside, which is very troubling.

These large confinement areas are usually called Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs). Trust me, these CAFOs are not good at all, and if you were taken to see how their operations are conducted, you would be shocked.

PS: You should probably watch this video.

When you visit these CAFOs or beef operations, you might stop eating meat altogether, even if it is certified organic. See how misled you might be?

Now, the good thing is that here in Tanzania, some people prefer having their own trusted farms and livestock, eating whatever is produced there, which is safe because they trust their farms and know how they process their products. But for those of us who just buy meat or eggs from shops, we are at great risk since the organic standards of our foods are being hijacked.

Things are getting serious now. Did you notice that there are no jokes until now? Well, this is how serious I am about this topic—don’t scroll to find one!

Hydroponics Explained

Hydroponics is the process of growing plants using a water-based solution rather than soil. Sounds odd, right?

Whatever is grown using hydroponics is different from what is grown in soil, and the difference lies in the nutrients. Foods grown hydroponically usually lack the superb taste and quality of those grown in soil. The richness of soil comes from all the microbial life within it (bacteria, fungi, etc.), which contributes to nutritious and delicious food.

Healthy soil → Healthy plants → Healthy animals → Healthy HUMANS.

You might think you’re being healthy by eating tomatoes, berries, peppers, or lettuce, but without your knowledge, these foods might be coming from hydroponic farms that do not produce organic foods, due to how compromised most farming methods are.

The awareness that needs to be raised is that we are losing the true essence of organic by believing that hydroponics provides certified organics. The leading hydroponic producers in the world are:

  • Netherlands: The biggest producers of hydroponics, providing large quantities of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers sold globally.
  • Peru: Notable for their blueberries grown through hydroponics.
  • United States: With over 2,500 acres of hydroponic farms, the USA has emerged as a leading country practicing hydroponics. NASA is even exploring ways to grow food for space missions.

And many more...

So, all I can say is that people should be well aware of how some of the things promoted by food industries are affecting us. While some may claim that hydroponics have advantages, these are often lies spread to us, so wake up!

People should conduct research, which can sometimes be hard, but for your own health, I advise you to research whatever you eat and ask about it.
